Instructor Helps

Architecture Exercise. Many churches and public buildings have elements of Greek and Roman architecture. Take a field trip to a building with Roman architecture and allow students to identify various parts of the structure (internal and external). Print the Glossary and Architectural Terminology pages of this site as a field guide.

Unfortunately, there is not much material available on the Dhat Ras temple. The best place to look for available information is through web pages linked with Petra or in Nelson Glueck’s publications. A good source for Greek and Roman architecture is D. S. Robertson, Greek and Roman Architecture, 2nd edition. Cambridge: Cambridge University Press, 1969.

Send me an email message and I will share what I know.
