Instructor Helps

This website can be used in a number of course, but especially in courses in geography, geology, earth science, and environmental science. The study of the Karak Plateau is an interesting area because of the wide variety of soils, landscapes, and environmental conditions. The discussion questions posed in the outline can relate the problems in this region with those encountered in your specific area.

The instructor may get a local soil survey from the Natural Resources Conservation Service, USDA to compare soils and landscapes with those of the Karak Plateau. This agency has offices in most every county in the U.S.
